Tokyo Otaku Mode Inc. (incorporated in Delaware, U.S.; representative: Tomohide Kamei; CEO: Naomitsu Kodaka; herein referred to as TOM) has opened pre-orders for the BE@RBRICK Fantasista Utamaro (From R4G) 100% & 400% today on June 6, 2019, at 10:00 (JST).

This product has been created through a collaboration between BE@RBRICK, bear-shaped block type figures sold by MEDICOM TOY, and Fantasista Utamaro, a creator who has offered his works to various artists, brands, and media. The product will be a piece with an extraordinary appearance being produced by Tokyo Otaku Mode with the help of R4G, an anime apparel brand directed by Fantasista Utamaro, and an addition to the monumental BE@RBRICK lineup.

Fantasista Utamaro is an artist who has supervised the direction of the MIKU EXPO 5th Anniversary music video, as well as idols and musicians such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Dempagumi.inc, and Yuzu. He is active in various fields, presenting his works through video direction, textile designs, and illustrations.

The bear-shaped block type figure BE@RBRICK has collaborated with various brands and world-famous artists such as mika ninagawa and Andy Warhol and are popular items with avid collectors all over the world.

The title of this piece is Tokyo Utamaro Pop New York. Keywords such as Tokyo, Utamaro, and New York are hidden in the intricately placed colors.

In addition to anime-esque symbols, there are onomatopoeia and designs inspired by Japanese promotional stickers, leading to a product exploding with Fantasista Utamaro’s truly unique style.
